Anna studied for 4 years at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where she received a research honours Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Her research was focused in molecular biology and genetics, sparking her interest in how we can affect our genetics and take our health into our own hands. Following her BSc. she continued her studies at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Ontario and graduated in 2015.
Anna believes that when we are feeling our best, we can achieve anything we want. Anna works with her patients to remove obstacles to health. Together they decide on a treatment plan that is best for them and treat their health concerns using diet, botanical medicine, nutritional supplements, and lifestyle changes and also focus on a plan to stay feeling our best and to prevent future illness. Anna has a special interest in hormonal concerns such as PMS, menopause, fertility, pregnancy & diabetes, as well as digestive concerns. She is also interested in pediatric conditions as well as pre- & post-natal care.
Anna grew up on Cape Breton Island, and tries to spend as much time on the ocean or lake as possible. She loves spending time outside with her husband, Cohen, baby Graham, and their dog, Angus. She also loves going to the gym, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, reading, and spending some quality time on her yoga mat.
Anna is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor, a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM), a member of the Nova Scotia Association of Naturopathic Doctors (NSAND), the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND), and the College of Naturopathic Doctors of Alberta (CNDA).
